Policy For The Accommodation Of Minors
Accommodation with One or Both Parents (Biological or Adoptive):
If a minor of Colombian nationality visits OSH HOTELS accompanied by one of their parents, no authorization from the other parent is required. In Colombia, the legal document that proves the civil or blood relationship between a minor and their parents is the civil birth certificate. The mandatory documents to present upon arrival (check-in) are:
• Original identification document of the adults.
• Original identification document of the minor.
• Civil birth certificate, which verifies the first degree of consanguinity (biological parent-child) or first degree of civil relationship (adoptive parent-child).
It is not permitted to use auxiliary criteria to prove consanguinity or civil relationship.
Accommodation with a Guardian:
The mandatory documents to present upon arrival (check-in) for a Colombian minor who is NOT accompanied by their parents but by a guardian, whether or not they are an employee of OSHPITALITY GROUP SAS, are:
• Original identification document of the adults.
• Original identification document of the minor.
• Public deed of testamentary guardianship or judicial ruling of legal or voluntary guardianship that confirms that one of the adults accompanying the Colombian minor is their legal guardian.
It is not permitted to use auxiliary criteria to prove guardianship or custody.
Accommodation with a Responsible Adult:
The mandatory documents to present at check-in for a Colombian minor who is NOT accompanied by their parents but by a responsible adult (grandparent, uncle, cousin, friend, etc.) are:
• Original identification document of the responsible adult.
• Original identification document of the minor.
• Civil birth certificate verifying the degree of civil relationship (adoptive parent-child) or the degree of consanguinity (biological parent-child).
• The original authorization document from one or both parents, with personal notarized presentation and a legally authenticated signature by a public notary or judge, along with a copy of the identification document of the person(s) who provided the authorization.
• The authorization must expressly state that the Colombian minor is allowed to stay in the company of the adult.
It is not permitted to use auxiliary criteria to prove the relationship or parental authorization.
Accommodation with a Responsible Adult Affiliated with Educational Institutions, Sports Teams, Travel Agencies, Foundations, or Similar Organizations:
The mandatory documentation to present at check-in for Colombian minors staying with student groups led by teachers, groups of minors accompanied by foundation leaders, groups of athletes under the supervision of coaches, or groups of minors on tourist trips led by guides or representatives of travel agencies, as well as any other group situation, is:
• Original identification document of the Colombian minor.
• Parental permissions for tourist activities, including authorization for overnight stays, with personal notarized presentation and legally authenticated signatures by a public notary or judge.
• Civil birth certificate verifying the degree of civil relationship (adoptive parent-child) or the degree of consanguinity (biological parent-child), along with a copy of the identification document of those who issued the authorization.
Accommodation of Foreign Minors:
The accommodation of foreign minors with parents, guardians, or responsible adults is permitted, provided they present the following documents:
• Original passport of the foreign minor.
• Authorization from one of the parents, along with the document that proves consanguinity or civil relationship issued by the authorizing party.
If any of the aforementioned requirements are not met, the minor’s entry into the hotel or establishment will be denied. This is in compliance with the provisions of Law 679 of 2001, the statute for the prevention of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, and its related regulations.
